On Friday, October 1st. 2021, Christopher Collings (processed trumpet, flugelhorn and didgeridoo) and myself (in processing, electronics and sound projection) played a concert in the Kirche Ketzberg, in Solingen, Germany as part of Die Nacht der offenen Kirchen event. Virtual Soundscapes
My project Virtual Soundscapes received a starting grant from Creative Culture Funds NL (aka Stimuleringfonds). I'm very happy to be able to work building up this very ambitious project! In this project I'm going to be researching, investigating and recreating nature sounds with purely digital means. aus LICHT - Holland Festival 2019
In 2019 a marathon performance will be staged of a large portion of the LICHT cycle, composed by Karlheinz Stockhausen. A new version of Stockhausen's SYNTHI-FOU
Probably since I heard Antonio Perez Abellán play SYNTHI-FOU in Kürten (Germany) in 2009, I knew I wanted to work in this piece. Pianist Ivan Pavlov watching video material from the premiére of SYNTHI-FOU in my home studio in Rijnsburg.The score calls for 131 different sound timbres on multiple synthesisers that are used in succession through the piece, often more than one timbre is being played simultaneously.
